Artelco is affiliated with the Rural Arkansas Telephone Association, Arkansas Telephone Association and NECA (National Exchange Carrier Associations).
In addition to Telephone Services, Arkansas Telephone Company (Artelco) has also offered their customers dial-up Internet Access for many years, and in 2004, expanded to offer both residential and commercial DSL service to customers in North Central Arkansas. FUSC Surcharge Factor Increase
Effective October 1, 2011, the amount of the Federal Universal Service Charge (FUSC) appearing on your bill each month will increase as a result of an increase in the Federal Communications Commissions (FCC) universal service fund contribution factor from 14.4% to 15.3%. The amount of the FUSC on your bill is calculated in accordance with Federal Communications Commissions rules by applying the new universal service contribution factor of 15.3% (0.153) to the rates for interstate services that you used. The federal universal service fund program is designed to keep local service rates affordable for all customers, in all areas of the United States.
